(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks will aim for their third consecutive victory this evening, when they battle the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center.
The Sharks earned their latest win Saturday night against visiting New Jersey. Evgeni Nabokov stopped 24 shots en route to his third shutout of the season, as San Jose defeated the Devils, 2-0, at HP Pavilion.
Joe Thornton tallied the game-winner for the Sharks, who have won four of their last five tests. Mike Grier added a short-handed, empty net goal with eight ticks remaining to seal the win.
Wingers Milan Michalek (bruised arm) and Jonathan Cheechoo (leg) both missed the game for San Jose. Both players are day-to-day.
Tonight marks the beginning of a four-game road trip for the Sharks, who are 8-5-0 as the visiting club this season.
