(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks try to rebound from their most lopsided loss of the season when they return to HP Pavilion this evening to host the Los Angeles Kings.

San Jose saw its two-game losing streak come to an end with Tuesday's 5-0 defeat at Anaheim. Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 23 saves for his third shutout of the season and Teemu Selanne scored twice for the Ducks.

Evgeni Nabokov allowed five goals on 44 shots for the Sharks, one game after teammate Vesa Toskala gave up just one goal to defeat Philadelphia. The two netminders have been alternating starts this season and rumors continue to swirl around the possible trade of either one.

The Sharks played without star forward Jonathan Cheechoo, who's battling a left leg injury, for the second straight game last night. The NHL's reining goal-scoring champ is questionable to return for tonight's contest.

Los Angeles comes in on a winning note, having posted a 5-3 triumph over Phoenix on Saturday. Craig Conroy tallied the eventual game-winner on the power play nine minutes into the third period.
