OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators so far have not resembled the club that was the top team in the Eastern Conference last season.

The Senators, who have lost four of their last five games, try to get things going when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Monday.

Ottawa has lost twice already this season to the lowly Boston Bruins, including a 4-3 defeat in Boston on Saturday.

Chris Neil led the Senators with two goals while Jason Spezza scored the other goal for Ottawa, which went 1-for-7 on the power play. The team will be without defenceman Wade Redden, who is out with a groin injury. Redden did not participate in the team's morning skate and is out indefinitely.
