Ottawa Senators forward Jason Spezza could be back skating as early as Thursday, according to head coach Bryan Murray.

Mike Fisher is also scheduled to return to the practice ice by this weekend. Both centres have been out of the lineup with
left knee injuries. Spezza suffered his injury in the third period of a loss against Tampa Bay on December 21st.

Fisher sustained his injury in the third period of a 2-0 win over the Islanders on December 27th. Even without their top two centremen, the Sens have managed to pick up nine of a possible 10 points since Spezza's injury.

The Senators also lost a third centreman, Antoine Vermette, with a hip injury he suffered on Saturday in Toronto. Vermette appears doubtful to play on Wednesday against Buffalo, although Murray will not make an official announcement on his status until tomorrow. Vermette sat out Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to Atlanta with a hip injury.
Good to see them recovering quickley. Hope the can come back ASAP.:D
