OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today assigned 15 players to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, and returned another three players to their junior clubs, reducing their training camp roster to 28 players. The Senators roster now stands at two goaltenders, 11 defencemen and 15 forwards.

Dave Cameron, head coach of the Binghamton Senators, will welcome two goaltenders, three defencemen and 10 forwards to his training camp when it opens on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Joining the B-Sens are goaltenders Jeff Glass and Kelly Guard; defencemen Charlie Cook, Neil Komadoski and Neil Petruic; and forwards Danny Bois, Andrew Ebbett, Chanse Fitzpatrick, Jeff Heerema, Arttu Luttinen, Brian Maloney, Cory Pecker, Grant Potulny, Bobby Robbins and Ryan Vesce.

Cameron will have nine players return from last year’s line-up and another three players with 2005-06 AHL experience.

Returning to their Canadian Hockey League junior clubs are centre Cody Bass, left-winger Nick Foligno and defenceman Tomas Kudelka. Bass rejoins the Mississauga IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League, Foligno returns to the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves and Kudelka rejoins the Lethbridge Hurricanes for his second Western Hockey League season. Last Friday (Sept. 22), the Senators had returned defenceman Jean-Claude Sawyer to his junior team, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
