(Sports Network) - The Ottawa Senators will try to win consecutive games for just the second time this season when they visit the Boston Bruins tonight at TD Banknorth Garden.
The Senators halted a five-game losing streak with Friday's win in Pittsburgh. Dany Heatley's two goals and Jason Spezza's goal and two assists helped Ottawa down the Penguins, 6-3.
Wade Redden recorded a goal and an assist while Martin Gerber stopped 14-of-17 shots for Ottawa, which took three straight contests from October 21-26 in its only winning streak of the season. The Senators remained unbeaten in their last eight meetings versus the Penguins.
The five-game skid was the longest for Ottawa since the club dropped seven in a row from February 22 to March 9, 1996.
Tonight wraps up a four-game road trip for the Senators, who are a respectable 4-3-1 as the visiting team this season.
The Bruins are in the midst of a two-game losing streak and were handed their latest setback Thursday against the visiting Maple Leafs. Nik Antropov had two goals and an assist to lead Toronto to the 6-4 victory.
