SAINT JOHN, Dec 29, 2006 - The Saint John Sea Dogs have obtained François Gauthier from the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in exchange for a 5th round draft pick in 2007.
The 5'9", 176 lb., left wing has appeared in 36 games for Cape Breton this season and has four goals and nine assists with ten penalty minutes. He was selected by the Screaming Eagles in the fourth round (63rd overall) of the 2004 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League entry draft.
The 18-year-old Gauthier is a native of Matane, QC.
The Sea Dogs are back in action at Harbour Station tomorrow night (Dec. 30) at 7 o'clock when they will host the Lewiston MAINEiacs.
