KENNEWICK, Wash. (CP) - Ladislav Scurko and Alex Aldred each scored a pair of goals as the Tri-City Americans won 5-3 over the Calgary Hitmen on Thursday in Western Hockey League action.
Scurko and Aldred gave the Americans a 2-0 lead 2:27 into the match, but Alex Plante and Ryan Letts replied for Calgary (15-10-0-2) to even the score at 2-2 by the first intermission.
Scurko's power-play goal 40 seconds into the second period put the Americans ahead for good. Tyler Schmidt and Aldred scored 13 seconds apart late in the period for Tri-City (16-7-0).
Fredrik Pettersson added the final Hitmen goal early in the third period.
