It's beginning to look that way.
Sources close to Niedermayer suggest he is prepared to return to the NHL team in the near future.
For the Ducks, this would be extremely welcome news, especially after getting blown out twice in row last weekend.

Every single team in the league would be hurting without Niedermayer in the lineup, even one that already has Chris Pronger there.

The Anaheim Ducks made it official Wednesday as the team announced that Scott Niedermayer would return for the remainder of the season.

It will be very interesting to see if the Ducks can turn their season around with Niedermayer back in the line up.

Time will tell for sure.

I sure hope they dont:( Niedermayer could turn this team around by himself and will probably bring this team back to the top. There will be lots more energy from the ducks in these next few games they play. But I sure hope they keep on losing:p

Well, she's a done deal now. Whatever the case may be this is a good thing for hockey. Having a player of this caliber return is huge for the game IMO.

I'm no fan of the Ducks, but this is terrific news for hockey fans of all stripes. Neids is one of my all time favs, so it's great to see him coming back. I was almost starting to wonder if he was holding off until after the Spengler Cup so that he could go there and win the only thing he's never won.

The question is: how good are the Ducks with him back in the line-up? Thus far they've been in and around the .500 mark, but Neidermayer is the kind of player that can redefine a team. With or without Selanne, I think it's safe to say that Anaheim is a contender again.

Good, now we can stop hearing about whether or not he's coming back. I like Niedermayer, but he should have made a decision a long time ago IMO.

Anyway, it will be nice to Niedermayer play again, if for no other reason than watching him skate. It'll be interesting to see how the Ducks play the rest of the season with him back.

I can't wait to see him skating for the Ducks again. Looks like it already had an effect on the Ducks team's morale as they beat the Sabres 4-1 last night.

Does this make him eligable for the all-star games, or do you have to have played a certain amount of games in the season? It would take a hell of a lot of votes to put him in now though..

WoW!
Im a Habs fan but i always liked the ducks so this is a huge come back forn them.
Anaheim instantly come back in the Top 3 NHL team IMO.
Niedermayer-Pronger instantly become the best def.duo of the league.
You now have a big chance to win 2 cups back to back this year.
Waiting for Selanee now ;)
