(CP) - A defensive lapse with the man advantage helped prolong the Drummondville Voltigeurs' misery Wednesday night.

Brad Marchand and Simon Bolduc scored shorthanded goals 39 seconds apart in the third and the Val-d'Or Foreurs went on to beat the Voltigeurs 6-3, extending Drummondville's losing streak to nine games. With the Foreurs a man down, Marchand scored at 10:00 and assisted on Bolduc's eventual game winner at 10:39 to pace Val-d'Or (11-5-2-1). Martin Thibeault had a pair of goals, including a shorthanded empty-netter at 19:38 to put the game out of reach.

Kristopher Letang, who was returned to the Foreurs from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday, added his first goal of the season, while Raffaelle D'Orso made 34 saves to earn the win for Val-d'Or.

In other QMJHL action Wednesday, it was: Moncton 9, Lewiston 8 (SO); Gatineau 5, Quebec 1; Chicoutimi 4, St. John's 3 (OT); and Acadie-Bathurst 6, Victoriaville 2.

At Drummondville, Que., Tomas Zohorna, Steven Cacciotti and Frederic St-Denis replied for the Voltigeurs (6-11-0-2), who went 0-for-8 on the power play. Drummondville hasn't won since beating the St. John's Fog Devils 6-5 in a shootout Oct. 7.

Pierre-Alexandre Marion stopped 32 shots for the Voltigeurs.

Wildcats 9, Maineiacs 8, SO

At Moncton, N.B., Jerome Samson had four assists in regulation and scored the only shootout goal as the Wildcats earned a wild win over Lewiston.

Matt Marquardt had a hat trick while Igor Voroshilov, Marc-Andre Labelle, Nathan Welton, Chris Morehouse and Roopertti Martikainen added singles for Moncton (11-7-0-1).

David Perron responded with three goals while Simon Courcelles, Marc-Andre Cliche, Stefano Giliati, Stefan Chaput and Pierre-Luc Faubert also scored for the Maineiacs (10-4-0-2).

Olympiques 5, Remparts 1

At Gatineau, Que., Claude Giroux scored twice and Olivier Laliberte made 28 saves in the Olympiques' one-sided win over Quebec.

Keven Petit, Michael Stinziani and Brad Tesink added singles for Gatineau (12-5-0-2).

Angelo Esposito had the lone goal for the Remparts (11-8-0-0).

Sagueneens 4, Fog Devils 3, OT

At Chicoutimi, Que., Alexandre Imbeault's power-play goal 1:32 into overtime led the Sagueneens past St. John's.

Juraj Mikus, Jeff Christison and Derek Fulmare also scored for Chicoutimi (6-11-3-1).

Luke Gallant, Jean-Simon Allard and Tim Spencer had goals for the Fog Devils (7-10-1-1).

Titan 6, Tigres 2

At Bathurst, N.B., Mathieu Carle had a goal and three assists and Thomas Beauregard scored twice in the Titan's win over Victoriaville.

Justin Vienneau, Tomy Joly and Spencer Jezegou added singles for Acadie-Bathurst (9-9-0-0).

Kyle Kelly and Benoit Doucet countered for the Tigres (9-8-0-0).
