Screaming Eagles 4, Rocket 3
Cape Breton forward Cam Fergus scored his 31st goal of the season Saturday, making him the fourth-leading goal scorer in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Fergus scored early the third period as the Screaming Eagles edged the P.E.I. Rocket 4-3. The Brantford, Ont., native surpassed Gatineau's Claude Giroux, who has 30 goals this year.
At Sydney, N.S., Francois Gauthier's goal at 4:25 in the third period stood as the winner.
Bradley Gallant and Dean Ouellet also had goals for the Screaming Eagles (22-11-1-0).
Pierre-Luc Lessard, Tyler Hawes and Chad Locke replied for the Rocket (15-13-1-4).
Fog Devils 4, Mooseheads 2
At St. John's, N.L., Nick Layton scored the winner at 15:57 in the third as the Fog Devils downed Halifax.
Mario Kempe, Ryan Graham and Jean-Simon Allard added a goal each for St. John's (12-19-1-1). Colby Pridham and Ryan Hillier had a goal apiece for the Mooseheads (15-15-3-1).
Remparts 3, Sea Dogs 2
At Saint John, N.B., Maxime Lacroix had a goal and an assist to lead Quebec over the Sea Dogs.
Joey Ryan and Brent Aubin also scored for the Remparts (20-14-0-1). Christopher DiDomenico and Dave Bouchard put away goals for Saint John (10-20-1-1).
