For the second time this season the Saskatoon Blades have taken the 10th spot in the weekly CHL Top Ten Rankings.
The Blades have gained at least one point in their past 9 games and are currently riding a 5 game winning streak. The Blades added to their league best road record this past week by defeating the Regina Pats on Tuesday and then sweeping all three games this weekend in Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, and Kootenay.
The only team with a better current streak in the WHL is the Brandon Wheat Kings, which makes for a must-see matchup tonight at the Credit Union Centre. Brayden Schenn and the Wheat Kings are 6 points behind the Blades for top spot in the Eastern Division. The Blades will recognize their player of the month for December, as voted by fans on saskatoonblades.com.
The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's Top 10 are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.
