Out with an achilles tear, if he hits IR then this will help Vancouver with the cap issues surrounding the resigning of Raymond, but long term Beiska most likely will have to go.

Too bad for Salo too, just the worst injury problems with this guy he had what it took to be considered one of the best offensive d-man in the league at one point in time.

Uh, not to good. I wouldn't have mind if Bieksa were to be injuried, but then again Salo has been injuried quite often throughout his career.

Some reports are saying he got that injury while playing floor hockey in Finland, also some are saying that his minimal recovery time is 3 months, it may be a 6 month rest for Salo...

No big loss. Hope he makes it back by the end of the season, but with him being 35, in the last year of what is likely his last contract.. I think Balls of Steel is considered a very valuable depth guy right now. I'll take the cap relief.
