(Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres are about to get their road prowess tested a little.

The Sabres, who have thrived away from HSBC Arena this season, begin a four- game trip Saturday when they visit the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center.

The Sabres are 11-1-0 away from home this season, including a 10-0-0 mark to begin the season. Buffalo's lone road loss came on November 18 in Ottawa.

On Friday the Sabres were at home and managed their second straight win against the New York Rangers. This time it was a 4-3 shootout affair, after Tuesday's 2-1 overtime tilt.

In the latter match, Daniel Briere scored the lone shootout goal and Ryan Miller came up with some huge stops in overtime to anchor the win.

This should be easy considering they are the best NHL team on the road. Washington could test us a little but there is a gap that will be filled by Buffalo in the win tonight
yeah well ... this years Caps ain't last years Caps.

They just beat a quality Stars Team last night .. and things don't look real hot tonight for the Sabres.

If they keep it up, the Caps COULD end up being a dark horse in the playoffs.
wow the caps but on a great game tonight. Beating the strongest team in the league should give them a big confidence booster.
