(Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres try to rebound from just their second regulation loss of the season tonight when they welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins to HSBC Arena.

Buffalo had a four-game winning streak ended in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to visiting Ottawa. Jason Spezza and Peter Schaefer each scored third-period goals to lift the Senators.

Thomas Vanek and Daniel Briere each had a goal for Buffalo, which fell to 15-2-1 on the season. Martin Biron finished with 19 saves, spelling injured starter Ryan Miller. Miller missed his fourth straight game with an abdominal strain and is questionable for tonight.

The Sabres, who are 5-2-1 at home, will visit Ottawa on Saturday.

Pittsburgh, meanwhile, ended a five-game skid with Monday's 3-2 decision over visiting Philadelphia. Evgeni Malkin scored with just over two minutes left in the game to lift the Pens to the win over their intrastate rivals.
