(Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres hope to sweep a three-game homestand tonight, when they host the Montreal Canadiens at HSBC Arena.

The Sabres opened their stand with a 7-2 win over Tampa Bay on Monday and then beat Toronto, 7-4, on Wednesday. Daniel Briere scored two goals, including the game winner, and also had an assist, to lead Buffalo to the victory over the Maple Leafs.

Jason Pominville, Maxim Afinogenov and Brian Campbell each had a goal and an assist for the Sabres, and Ryan Miller finished with 32 saves.

Buffalo, which has won seven of its last nine games, leads the NHL with 37 points this season.

The Sabres are 8-2-1 as the host club this season and have won three straight games at home. Buffalo will close out its November schedule with Sunday's road test against the New York Rangers.
