(Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins will try to save face after a one-sided loss when they welcome the Buffalo Sabres to TD Banknorth Garden tonight for the finale of a home-and-home series.

The Sabres pounded Boston, 7-1, in Buffalo on Tuesday night. Daniel Briere's hat trick and Maxim Afinogenov's three assists led the Sabres to the easy victory at HSBC Arena.

Briere has been hot for the Sabres recently, registering a point in six straight games. This year's All-Star Game MVP has five goals and six assists during that stretch.

Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville each posted a goal and one assist while Paul Gaustad and Chris Drury also lit the lamp for the Sabres, who ended their three-game losing streak.

Derek Roy, Toni Lydman and Jochen Hecht picked up two helpers each for Buffalo. Martin Biron stopped 25 shots for his 10th win of the season.

Glen Murray tallied the lone goal for the Bruins, who have lost four straight and eight of their last 10 games. Boston has been outscored 19-3 over its last four contests.
