He is out 6 weeks with a broken bone in his wrist.I'd say this just improved Jordan Staal's chances of staying if they needed to be improved

Staal's a gimme, whether Malone's healthy or not. I can't imagine they'd toss him, after how he's been so far. His season's set.

Staal should stay in the lineup. The Pens are doing a lot better than last years start. The "Big 3" (Crosby, Malkin, and Staal) have a very bright future ahead of them.
