They might have to call in a replacement from near by. If he's in L.A right now I bet they could get Frolov in there pretty quickOvechkin absolutly nailed Jagr in todays game. It led directly to a goal and totally changed the momentum of the game for a good 10 minutes.
Malkin looks a lot better than Datsyuk on the top line. Radulov wasn't bad on the PK. Hopefully someday he will be back in the NHL.
The injury to the KHL line center looks like it could be bad. The Russians only brought 12 forwards.
So they win Group B, and Slovakia finishes ahead of the Czech republic for the seeding in the qualifying round. 1.5 hrs to go for til the next one.
I thought injury replacements could only be made before the tournament started. They might have to call in a replacement from near by. If he's in L.A right now I bet they could get Frolov in there pretty quick
Maybe you're right. I know that Jeff carter is in Vancouver right now in case someone gets hurt for Canada and I know T.J Oshie is also there in case someone on the U.S.A gets hurt. So you're probably right. Do you know if they have any alternates they could dress?I thought injury replacements could only be made before the tournament started.

Charlio's right. The handling of injuries is one of the most important factors in these Olympic games. In Torino, each country was allowed to carry a taxi squad. In this Olympics, however, the taxi squad was scrapped and each country is only allowed to use the 23 players registered with the IIHF prior to the men's hockey tournament starting.I thought injury replacements could only be made before the tournament started.
wow that sucks for them then, They better hope everyone stays healthy from here on out.Charlio's right. The handling of injuries is one of the most important factors in these Olympic games. Kozlov would be a big body in the middle that would be effective against the Canadians. (or Germans, shouldn't get ahead of myself lol)If they have to, they can put Kozlov at center. He played center a bit when he was in Florida, and was decent at faceoffs. I believe that Zaripov can play center as well.
I loved that play. Good stuff.Ovechkin absolutly nailed Jagr in todays game. It led directly to a goal and totally changed the momentum of the game for a good 10 minutes.
They beat RussiaNo, I am not saying they are not good. I am saying they are not stacked with high end talent like Canada or Russia and don't have the ego's that go along with it.
That doesn't necessarily mean there better. We beat Canada, I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say were as good as them. If you get a hot goalie, or for the better team to over look the other team, upsets can happen. They beat Russia
Ok whatever you say. That doesn't necessarily mean there better. We beat Canada, I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say were as good as them. If you get a hot goalie, or for the better team to over look the other team, upsets can happen.
Yes, Nabokov is starting in net.Anyone know if Russia is starting with Nabokie in net?
Even though I thought it was interference regardless of Morozov's performance, I do have to admit that his performance itself was pretty impressive.I missed a little of the first period. I got a text that said Morozov put on quite a performace to get that call...was that the case?
