Tonight at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, the Rockhoppers looked to recover from a tough loss on Friday night in Brooklyn. After their performance on Saturday night, Friday appeared to be in the rear-view mirror, as Jersey put on a dominating performance in a 10-2 victory over the Hudson Valley Bears. Goalie Rob Lemelin improved to 5-0 on the season, and remains one of two undefeated goaltenders in the EPHL so far this season. The Rockhoppers did get off to a bit of a slow start and went into the second period with just a 1-0 lead courtesy of Kyle Bozoian's 18th goal of the season. The Bears then opened the second period with a power play goal from Scott Horvath tying the game at 1-1. Then the Rockhoppers 'hit the switch' and went into overdrive. Jersey held the Bears to just 8 shots-on-goal in the second period, and took the lead on a power-play goal from Tom Boudreau. Drew Sanders then made the play of the game, intercepting a pass with his glove at the Bears' blue line, dropping it to the ice and beating Len DiCostanzo on a back-handed wrister for the unassisted goal. Chris Ferazzoli scored his first of two goals on the night with 30 seconds remaining in the second and the Rockhoppers went into the third with a 4-1 lead.

In the final period, Jersey scored four goals in the first five minutes to seal the victory. Two of those goals game on the same penalty-kill from Chris Ferazzoli and Anthony Becker. Ferazolli, known mostly for his goal scoring, earned the first-star honors with four assists to accompany his two goals on the night.
