PORTLAND, Ore. (CP) - Kaspars Saulietis and Chris Ray had two goals each to power the Kelowna Rockets past the Portland Winter Hawks 6-2 in WHL action Wednesday night.
Kelowna took control of the game in the second period, scoring three times within a span of 1:42 to take a commanding 5-0 lead. Kirt Hill added a goal and two assists for Kelowna while Myles MacRae also scored. Goaltender Kristofer Westblom stopped 33 shots.
