Drew Stafford scored a pair of goals as Rochester broke a 2-2 tie in the second period and tallied three answered goals to defeat the Syracuse Crunch on the road by a score of 5-2 and pulled ahead of idle Manitoba for first place in the North Division.

Marek Zagrapan, Anthony Stewart and Rob Globke all recorded goals for the Amerks, who won their third straight game.

Craig Anderson stopped 37 of 39 shots for Rochester, who opened up a five-game road trip with the win.

Jeffrey Szwez tallied a goal and an assist in the loss for the Crunch.
