Rochester took advantage of a depleted Grand Rapids lineup and posted a 5-1 win over the Griffins at the Blue Cross Arena.

The Griffins were without three of their top four scorers – Josh Langfeld, Matt Ellis and Matt Hussey are on recall to the Detroit Red Wings – and goaltenders Jimmy Howard and Stefan Liv.

Drew Stafford, headed to the 2007 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic this weekend, led the Americans with a goal and two assists. Marek Zagrapan and Michael Ryan had a goal and an assist each, and Clarke MacArthur added three helpers for first-place Rochester.

Craig Anderson made 32 saves in the win, allowing only a Brendan Brooks goal with 6:25 left in regulation.
