(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes look to continue an impressive road winning streak when the resurgent club begins a four-game trip tonight by taking on the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center.

The Coyotes have been one of the league's hottest teams as of late, with victories in eight of their last 10 games and six straight wins as the visitor. Phoenix had dropped back-to-back contests heading into Monday's finale of a three-game homestand, however, but halted the brief slide with a 5-4 shootout decision over the St. Louis Blues.

Ladislav Nagy scored the game-winner in the fourth round of the shootout and also had a goal in regulation for the Coyotes, who also received a two-goal, one-assist performance out of Ed Jovanovski. Jeremy Roenick and Cyanic Peroral provided the other tallies.

Mikael Tellqvist stopped 22 shots over the first 65 minutes and stopped three of four St. Louis skaters in the shootout. The Swedish goaltender improved to 5-1-1 over his last seven starts, with one shutout over that span.

The Coyotes' recent road surge has improved their season record to 9-12-1 as the visitor. Phoenix last won six in a row on the road from October 26- November 28, 1998.

The franchise record for consecutive away wins in eight, set during the 1984-85 campaign when the team was located in Winnipeg.

Phoenix has had little recent success at the Pepsi Center, however, as the Coyotes are 0-8-1 (one tie) in their last nine visits to Denver and has dropped five straight as the visitor in this series.
