(Sports Network) - A healthier Anaheim Ducks club will play its first game since the All-Star break when the Pacific Division leaders host the Dallas Stars this afternoon at the Honda Center.

Anaheim lost its final four contests prior to the hiatus and has seen its once-sizeable lead atop the Pacific dwindle to just two points over second- place San Jose.

Injuries have played a key role in the Ducks' struggles, as the club is just 2-7-2 since goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere and defenseman Francois Beauchemin got hurt in a December 26 victory over the Sharks. In addition, former Norris Trophy winner Chris Pronger has missed the last nine games due to a broken left foot.

Pronger and Beauchemin, who suffered a lacerated spleen in the San Jose game, are expected to return to the Ducks' lineup this afternoon. Giguere, who has been sidelined with a groin problem, could also be back in action.

One player Anaheim won't have available today is standout defenseman Scott Niedermayer, who is dealing with a stress fracture in his right foot that caused him to miss Wednesday's All-Star Game.

The Ducks haven't played since dropping a 3-2 decision at Calgary on January 19. Niedermayer had both Anaheim goals and Andy McDonald, who was added to the Western Conference All-Star squad as an injury replacement, assisted on both markers.
