It could be a make-or-break day for the most talked about name going into the NHL's Feb. 27 trade deadline.
Various news sources in Philadelphia report that Flyers chairman Ed Snider will meet with Peter Forsberg on Sunday to discuss the Peter Forsberg's future with the team and whether or not the two sides can work out a new contract.
Forsberg has been the hottest trade topic around the league as the Flyers continue to struggle at the bottom of the Eastern Conference while as many as a dozen teams have inquired about the veteran centre's services.
Snider told local reporters on Friday that he wants an answer from Forsberg on whether he's going to continue his hockey career beyond this season and, if so, will it be with the Flyers.
Forsberg, who becomes an unrestricted free agent in July, has 10 goals and 37 points in 38 games this season. He has missed 16 games this season dealing with various injuries, most notably on his right ankle, and spent much of the year looking for a proper skate to support it.
