(Sports Network) - The St. Louis Blues attempt to cool off the scorching Detroit Red Wings when the Central Division rivals collide tonight at the Scottrade Center.
Detroit is currently riding a five-game win streak and is 10-2-1 over its last 13 games. The surge has put the Red Wings within a point of Nashville for the top spot in the Central.
One of those victories came at the expense of the Blues last Friday, when Kris Draper scored shorthanded to break a third-period deadlock and Detroit went on to post a 5-3 decision.
The Red Wings continued their winning ways on Wednesday, as Henrik Zetterberg netted a pair of goals to lead the way in a 4-2 triumph over Phoenix at Joe Louis Arena.
