(Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings shoot for their ninth consecutive win tonight when they visit the Vancouver Canucks at GM Place.

The Wings have shut out their last two opponents, defeating both Edmonton and Nashville by 3-0 scores at home. Dominik Hasek was in net for both matches, and stopped all 37 combined shots he faced.

On Saturday against the Predators, Hasek made 21 stops to anchor the effort. Robert Lang and Nicklas Lidstrom both scored for the Red Wings, while Pavel Datsyuk had two assists.

Hasek, who was named the NHL's "third star" for last week, is tied with New Jersey's Martin Brodeur for the league lead with three shutouts. He is expected to be in goal this evening and go for a third straight blanking.

The Red Wings, who are 5-3-0 on the road, begin a three-game trek tonight and will visit Calgary on Friday.
