(Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings try to nail down another home win when the club returns to Joe Louis Arena tonight for a divisional matchup with the St. Louis Blues.

The Red Wings have won nine in row on home ice and own a sparkling 18-3-3 season record in the Motor City. The win streak is Detroit's longest since it posted victories in the final 11 home games of the 2002-03 regular season.

Detroit hasn't lost as the host since a 3-2 setback to Ottawa on December 12.

The Wings' latest triumph came on the road, however, as Henrik Zetterberg scored 2:57 into overtime to lift Detroit to a 4-3 decision over the New York Islanders Tuesday at Nassau Coliseum.

Nicklas Lidstrom finished with a goal and two assists for the Red Wings, who finished with a 35-19 advantage in shots for the contest. Dominik Hasek needed to make just 16 saves in goal to pick up his 27th victory of the season.

Hasek leads all NHL netminders with a 2.03 goals against average and has been nearly invincible at home this season. The legendary goaltender, who turned 42 on Monday, is 17-2-3 with a 1.53 GAA in his 22 games at Joe Louis Arena.

The Red Wings have won two straight overall and trail first-place Nashville by five points in the Central Division standings.

St. Louis looks to rebound from a pair of recent home defeats. After dropping a 6-3 decision to Nashville last Saturday, the Blues were handed a 5-2 loss by Minnesota on Tuesday.
