(Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings will try to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak tonight, when they host the St. Louis Blues at Joe Louis Arena.

The Red Wings are 0-1-2 during the slide, having lost their last two contests after regulation. On Wednesday, they were handed a 4-3 setback by the Vancouver Canucks. Brendan Morrison scored two goals, including the game winner 3:01 into overtime to lift Vancouver.

In the extra session, Vancouver defenseman Sami Salo hit Morrison with an outlet pass, springing the forward into the Detroit zone on a breakaway. From in tight, Morrison quickly snapped a wrister through the legs of Dominik Hasek to win the game for the Canucks.

Mathieu Schneider scored a goal and added an assist while Hasek had 26 saves for the Red Wings, who have 27 points and are just three points behind Nashville for first place in the Central Division.

Meanwhile, the Blues will aim for just their second winning streak of the season this evening. St. Louis went the distance Wednesday evening in Columbus as it earned a 4-3 shootout victory over the Blue Jackets.
