(Sports Network) - The St. Louis Blues attempt to cool off the scorching Detroit Red Wings when the Central Division rivals collide tonight at the Scottrade Center.

Detroit is currently riding a five-game win streak and is 10-2-1 over its last 13 games. The surge has put the Red Wings within a point of Nashville for the top spot in the Central.

One of those victories came at the expense of the Blues last Friday, when Kris Draper scored shorthanded to break a third-period deadlock and Detroit went on to post a 5-3 decision.

The Red Wings continued their winning ways on Wednesday, as Henrik Zetterberg netted a pair of goals to lead the way in a 4-2 triumph over Phoenix at Joe Louis Arena.

Zetterberg's second tally of the night snapped a 2-2 tie early in the third period and was the 100th goal of his career. Robert Lang also scored and Pavel Datsyuk added an empty-netter as Detroit recorded its 11th straight win at home.

The Red Wings outshot the Coyotes by a whopping 48-22 margin, with Dominik Hasek needing to make just 22 saves on the evening.

Detroit did lose defenseman Danny Markov to an undisclosed injury after he absorbed a hard hit along the boards from Jeremy Roenick. The talented Russian is listed as questionable for tonight's contest.
