(Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings will try to get back in the win column in this last night of action before the All-Star break, as they visit the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center.

The Red Wings had won five straight before getting handed a 3-1 loss in Columbus on Friday. Fredrik Norrena was huge in net for the Blue Jackets, posting 41 saves to lead the Columbus effort.

Johan Franzen scored the lone goal and Dominik Hasek finished with 24 saves for the Red Wings, who have 65 points, but still trail Nashville by four points for the Central Division and Western Conference lead.

The Red Wings, who are 13-9-2 as the visitor this year, will return from the All-Star break and cap a three-game road trip next Friday in St. Louis.

Meanwhile, the Avalanche are aiming for their third win in four games tonight and are coming off Wednesday's 4-3 victory over Phoenix. Paul Stastny scored twice, Milan Hejduk posted a goal and two assists, and Tyler Arnason finished with three helpers to lead Colorado.

Andrew Brunette had a goal and an assist and Peter Budaj made 29 saves for the Avalanche.
