Now in his 14th season as a member of the Detroit Red Wings, Kris Draper has played on three Stanley Cup championship teams and developed a reputation as one of hockey's best role players, evidenced by his selection to play for the Canadian Olympic team. The Red Wings, one of the league's most dominant teams for the past decade, now are trying to adjust to the salary cap system and the retirement of their longtime captain.
