The National Hockey League is a step closer to having a different look next season.

NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr announced in a press release Thursday the players' union wants to go forward with the league's realignment plan for the 2013-14 campaign.

"After discussions with the executive board, the NHLPA has given consent to realignment, to be re-evaluated following the 2014-15 season," Fehr said in a statement.

The next step will be approval from the NHL's Board of Governors. NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly confirmed as much in a release.

Realignment

So for the 2014-2015 season lets
1:add Seattle to the Pacific Division,
2:Move Columbus back to the Western Conference,Midwest Division,
3: add Quebec to the Eastern Conference Central division
4: Move Florida and Tampa to the Atlantic division
5: Move Pittsburgh and Philly to the E.C Central
6: Move Boston to the Atlantic

Then we can all rest in peace.

The problem with this is Columbus being in Pitt's and Wash's division is to attract more fans to the games. Columbus doesn't really have a super star to sell and so if they have Crosby, Malkin or Ovechkin coming to their stadium 6 times a year you can probably sell tickets.
As for Tampa and Fla. I believe they are also in the Leafs, and Habs division to sell tickets. You have a lot of people heading down to Florida for vacation to escape the winter and to take in a hockey. This I believe is also so those two teams can sell tickets.
