(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Lightning will begin a three-game road trip this evening, when they visit the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

The Lightning are coming off Friday's win over the visiting New York Islanders. Dimitry Afanasenkov scored the lone tally of a seven-round shootout, leading Tampa Bay over New York, 3-2, at the St. Pete Times Forum.

After six of his teammates failed to beat Rick DiPietro, Afanasenkov sent a wrist shot at the netminder. The puck barely trickled over the line after slipping under DiPietro's left skate.

Johan Holmqvist followed by stopping a backhand shot from Andy Hilbert to seal the victory.

Nikita Alexeev and Brad Richards each had markers in regulation, while Vincent Lecavalier added two assists for the Lightning, who rebounded from a 3-1 setback on Wednesday against visiting Montreal.

The Lightning, who are a 5-2-1 on the road this season, will also visit Buffalo and Florida on this swing.
