(Sports Network) - The New York Rangers will try to get back on the winning track tonight, when they battle the Florida Panthers at BankAtlantic Center.

The Rangers have dropped three straight contests and have been outscored 19-6 during that slide. The skid began with a 9-2 loss in Toronto on Saturday and continued with Sunday's 6-1 thrashing at the hands of visiting New Jersey.

However, the most recent setback was a close affair, but the rival New York Islanders wound up posting a 4-3 win. Jason Blake's fourth career hat trick led the Islanders to Tuesday's triumph at Madison Square Garden.

Jaromir Jagr scored twice and Brendan Shanahan notched two assists to go with his team-leading 23rd goal for the Rangers. Kevin Weekes stopped 22 shots in the loss.

Tonight is the start of a four-game road trip for the Rangers, who are a solid 11-6-1 as the visiting team this year. They will stay in Florida with a trip to Tampa before the holiday break, then will visit the Islanders and Ottawa after Christmas.

Meanwhile, the Panthers will try for their longest winning streak of the year, as they aim for a third consecutive victory.

The Panthers notched a 6-3 win over Boston on Saturday and beat Toronto, 7-3, on Tuesday, giving Florida a franchise-best 13 goals in its last two games.
