NEW YORK (AP) - Brendan Shanahan scored the tying goal in the third period, then lifted the New York Rangers to a 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins with the only tally in the shootout Thursday night.

Henrik Lundqvist was perfect in the shootout, stopping Evgeni Malkin, Nils Ekman and Sidney Crosby in the tie-breaker, snapping the Rangers' four-game losing streak (0-1-3).
