(Sports Network) - The New York Rangers try to get back on track tonight when they welcome the Atlanta Thrashers to Madison Square Garden.

New York had a three-game winning streak ended in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to visiting Buffalo. Chris Drury scored on a deflection shot in OT to give the Sabres the win.

Martin Straka scored both goals in the loss and netminder Henrik Lundqvist made 28 saves for the Rangers, who were seeking their first four-game winning streak of the season.

Straka tallied for the second consecutive night, as he bagged the game-winner in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win in Pittsburgh.

New York, with 28 points, is one ahead of the second-place Islanders in the Atlantic Division race.

The Rangers will visit Buffalo on Friday.
