(Sports Network) - The New York Rangers hope to continue their fast start to November when they visit the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center this evening.

The Rangers have won two straight and are 4-0-1 this month, with the only loss coming in overtime against Buffalo on November 5.

New York's latest victory came Friday night in Atlanta. Michael Nylander notched two goals and an assist to lead the Rangers to a 5-2 victory over the Thrashers at Philips Arena.

Jaromir Jagr had three assists and Henrik Lundqvist stopped 28 shots for the Rangers. Jagr leads the NHL with 21 assists this season.

Tonight marks the end of a three-game road trip for the Rangers, who are an impressive 7-2-0 as the visiting club this year. New York will host the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, the Capitals will try to get back on the right track after getting routed in Carolina on Thursday. Erik Cole's hat trick and Cam Ward's 20 saves led the Hurricanes to a dominant 5-0 win at the RBC Center.
