TORONTO (CP) - Canada's bid for a third straight world junior hockey championship will begin against host Sweden on Boxing Day.
The schedule, released Friday by the International Ice Hockey Federation, has Canada in Group A with Sweden, the United States, Slovakia and Germany. In Group B are Russia, Finland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Belarus.
Canada plays Sweden in Leksand on Dec. 26, travels to Mora for a Dec. 27 game against the Americans, returns to Leksand to face Germany on Dec. 29 and remains in that city to play Slovakia on Dec. 31.
