(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes try to kickstart their offensive attack tonight when they visit the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place.

The Coyotes have lost their last two games to Los Angeles and Dallas, both by 4-0 scores. The Stars game was on Saturday, as rookie goaltender Mike Smith stymied Phoenix with 22 saves.

Curtis Joseph, on the other hand, allowed all four Dallas goals on 32 shots.

The Coyotes are off to their worst start since the lockout-shortened 1994-95 season, having lost six of their first eight games.

In all, Phoenix hasn't found the net in 120 minutes, 23 seconds of consecutive game action.

The Coyotes, who are already 10 points off the pace in the Pacific Division, will visit Calgary on Tuesday to finish a brief road trip.

Edmonton, meanwhile, has won two straight and four of its last five games. On Saturday, Dwayne Roloson made 26 saves to lead the Oilers to a 3-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings at Rexall Place.
