Kris Versteeg and Petr Kalus each scored a goal and added a helper along with a plus-4 rating as Providence won its fifth straight game with a 6-1 rout of division rival Portland at the Dunkin Donuts Center.

Philippe Sauve made 23 saves to earn his eighth win of the season and improve the P-Bruins record to 10-0-0-1 in their last 11 games.

Jeff Hoggan and all-star defenseman Matt Lashoff also recorded a goal and an assist as teammates Martins Karsums and defenseman Nathan Dempsey each had two assists on the night for Providence.

Brett Skinner provided the only tally on the night for the Pirates, who dropped their seventh straight game with tonight’s loss.
