Petr Kalus scored, what proved to be the game winner for Providence, in the third period to give the P-Bruins a 3-2 win over Portland, its second win in as many nights against the Pirates.

David Krejci registered two assists on the night, extending his scoring streak to eight games in which six have been multiple-point games.

Nate DiCasmirro and Kris Versteeg scored goals as Philippe Sauve made 21 saves to earn his second win in-a-row for Providence, who are unbeaten in regulation in its last eight games, going 7-0-0-1.
Curtis Glencross and Drew Miller both tallied for the Pirates in the loss.
