Mike Proudley picked the perfect time to score his first Western Hockey League goal - at the 3:26 mark of overtime - to give the Chilliwack Bruins a 6-5 road victory over the Red Deer Rebels Tuesday night.

The Bruins opened the game with their best road period of the season, holding the Rebels to just two shots on goal in the opening stanza. Oscar Moller's 17th goal of the season gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead after one.

Whatever was said in the Red Deer dressing room after the first period paid early dividends for the Rebels as they scored three power play goals in the first 6:28 of the second period to take a 3-1 lead. The rest of the period was all Chilliwack. Two goals by Josh Aspenlind book ended Stephane Lenoski's 4th of the season. Score after two: 4-3 Bruins.

In the third, goals by Jordan Knackstedt and Dustin Moore, his third of the night put the

Rebels up 5-4 with just under eight minutes left in the period. With goaltender Matt Esposito on the bench and the Bruins on the power play, Oscar Moller notched his second of the night with just 24 ticks left on the clock to send the game into overtime and setting the table for Proudley's heroics.
