(Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators will shoot for their fourth consecutive victory this evening, when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets at Gaylord Entertainment Center in the opener of a home-and-home series.

The Predators, who are atop the Central Division with 61 points, are coming off Tuesday's dramatic victory over the Western Conference-leading Anaheim Ducks. Steve Sullivan scored with 1:48 left in overtime to help Nashville earn the 5-4 home victory.

In the extra frame, Kimmo Timonen received a pass at the blue line and skated behind the net. As he came out the left side, Timonen flicked a centering pass to Sullivan, who one-timed it over the glove of Ilya Bryzgalov to win the game.

Timonen and Paul Kariya each had a goal and an assist while Marek Zidlicky added three assists for the Predators, who have won 11 of their last 14 games.

Tomas Vokoun made his first start in net since November 23 and stopped 27 shots in the win. He had undergone surgery on his left thumb and Chris Mason started 21 consecutive games in his place.

Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets will try to halt a two-game slide this evening. Columbus was handed its most recent setback Tuesday against visiting St. Louis, as Lee Stempniak scored the game-winning goal in the shootout to lift the Blues to the 4-3 victory at Nationwide Arena.
