NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Jason Arnott scored a power-play goal and assisted on another in the Nashville Predators' 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.
Nashville beat St. Louis for the 13th straight time, including fifth this season. The previous three games went into overtime and two were decided by shootouts.
Vernon Fiddler and J.P Dumont also scored for Nashville.
Martin Rucinsky and Lee Stempniak had the Blues' goals.
The Predators got on the board first. Josef Vasicek shot the puck toward goalie Manny Legace. Fiddler moved in from the right side and used his skate to slide the puck past Legace, knocking the goal off its posts in the process at 2:08.
St. Louis answered at 18:13. Rucinsky's shot bounced off the stick of Nashville defenceman Dan Hamhuis, as the Blues forward was spread flat on the ice in front of the net, and slid under goalie Chris Mason's legs.
Arnott fired a one-timer from the middle of the left circle for a power-play goal at 11:20 of the second period.
