Ovechkin i think is probaly the best but Dion phaneuf One day will be probaly the best defencemen to play in the nhl. I also think jason spezza i one of the best younger players.

I wonder if we shouldn't change this, and make one for each position?

Best Forward

Best Defense

Best Goalie

At forward, well, it just goes on and on!!

Defense, there's Phaneuf, Meszaros, Schubert, Bieksa just to name a few.

Goalies, there's Emery, Miller, Bryzgalov etc.

It's just a thought on my part?

Best forward: Alex Ovechkin(He plays every single shift like it's his last. Best player to watch in my opinion).
Best Defenceman: Dion Phaneuf.
Best goaltender: Marc Andre Fleury(Wait until you see this guy in the playoffs, and you'll see what I mean).

Forward: Crosby in a close one over Ovechkin. Ovechkin might find the net more but Crosby can hold his own and makes everyone else better. I know Crosby is a solid defensive player not sure about Ovechkin.

Defense: Phaneuf hands down. This kid can hit and score.

Goalie: Even though I love Fleury I got to give it to R. Miller. Fleury has the potential but Miller is already one of the top goalies in the league.

I agree with another poster in that Malkin can be taking the spot for best young player by next year. This kid looks like Lemieux when he is out there and is no stranger to the defensive zone.
