Chet Pickard made 22 saves for his fourth shutout of the season and the Tri City Americans defeated the Portland Winter Hawks by a score of 2-0 at the Memorial Coliseum.

Portland has now lost 10 consecutive games, going 0-8-0-2 during that stretch.

Kruise Reddick and Justin Feser scored goals in the second period for Tri City, both even strength, to provide all the offense on the night.

Ian Curtis stopped 21 of 23 shots for Portland.

This was the eighth time this season that Portland has been shutout, the first since November 28, 2008.

On special teams, Portland went 0 for 3 on the power play while Tri City was 0 for 4.

Next up, the Winter Hawks return to the Memorial Coliseum to take on the Everett Silvertips at 7:00 on Saturday night.
