SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Tomas Popperle blocked all 41 shots that he faced as the Syracuse Crunch won 4-0 over the visiting Toronto Marlies in American Hockey League play Wednesday night.

Popperle made 11 saves in each of the first and second periods before stopping a barrage of 19 shots by the Marlies in the final 20 minutes. Joe Motzko scored a pair of power-play goals in the third period for Syracuse (9-20-1-1), which ended a six-game losing skid.
