ERIE, Pa. (CP) - Stanislav Polodna and Nick Palmeiri scored shootout goals Wednesday night to propel the Erie Otters to a thrilling 6-5 win over the Guelph Storm in OHL action.

Drew Doughty opened the shootout with a goal for Guelph, but Polodna evened the score on Erie's second shot, and Palmeiri followed by beating Storm netminder Thomas McCollum for the winning goal.

Luke Pither forced the extra period for Guelph with a shorthanded goal with 19 seconds left in regulation.

Justin Hodgman scored twice while Josh Vatri, Shayne Taylor and Kyle Ramsay added singles in regulation for the Otters (4-13-0-2), who ended a five-game losing streak.
